Blue Mountain Ski Area, Pennsylvania
Your place for winter fun...skiing, riding & snowtubing. Ski or ride Pa.'s highest vertical, 1082 ft., with 34 trails & 9 lifts including a Hi-speed Detachable Six-Seater and Quad. The mountain is open for night skiing on all trails and has 100 percent snowmaking capacity. Blue's 4 Terrain Parks combined makes it the longest in the Pocono Region.
Blue Mountain will be featuring 4 terrain parks this year plus one snow-cross trail.
~ Sidewinder Park: 3,500 ft designed for advanced skiers and boarders which includes a 40 ft double barrel straight, 40 ft down flat down, 35 ft 180 degree C box, down flat down S, street staircase, 8 ft wide butterbox with grindable rails, 70 ft jumps, rhythm sections, and tabletops
~ Come Around Park: 1,700 ft of intermediate hits and features
~ Terrain Run Park: 1,200 ft of novice hits and features
~ Central Park: "Bringing the streets to the slopes" with 2 brand new, one of a kind stair sets from snow grind, among other street related elements
Blue Mountain's trails offer something for everyone; from lazy, easygoing, nonstop runs well over a mile long to the Challenge, with its two headwalls and electrifying drop.
Explorers, a program designed to introduce youngsters (ages 4 to 12) to the exciting world of skiing and ages 7-12 for snowboarding is offered. Explorers is located in the Summit Lodge.
The Snowtubing Park has seen expansion this summer - 5 more snow slides were built. A Carpet Conveyor Lift & 2 tow Lifts will service the tubing area. This new conveyor lift will double the uphill tubing capacity.
